It is the passion of the Archbishop J. Delano Ellis, the founding chief prelate with Archbishops Alfred A. Owens and Ralph Dennis and the entire board of bishops that the integrity of the Lord’s Church be preserved. Motivated by that passion the Joint College offers training, two annual college events and a host of other programs. All of this and more you will find here in the Joint College website.

Equally importantly, however, is the unwavering contribution the college makes in counteracting the contemporary trend of the cavalier assignment of church leadership. We encourage you to explore all areas of this website. In November 1993, four bishops of the Pentecostal community had a conversation while traveling to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania regarding the need for training of Pentecostal Bishops-elect for the office to which they had been called.

The church has long understood the value of local assemblies meeting together in conventions or conferences. Shared worship services and the opportunity to have access to fellow believers and the systems they use help other believers enrich their ministries.

The Bishops Sessions are designed to equip both freshman and upper class bishops with the information, procedures and methodologies appropriate for discharging the duties of the office of The Bishop.

takes care of the lesser matters on behalf of and at the direction of the office of the Bishop.

Dr. Sabrina Ellis organizes and facilitates the workshops for women who are married to men of God who have become bishops or overseers in the Body of Christ.

The Adjutancy, as it is known today, in Pentecostal churches was formed in 1970 by the current president of the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops
